Frances Robinson
Moderator, is a freelance journalist who spent the last four years covering EU technology and telecoms regulation for the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones in Brussels. This role involved everything from interviewing Prime Ministers to urban safaris in post-industrial Belgium. She previously worked for AFX in Brussels and then covered the European Central Bank in Frankfurt for Bloomberg.

Stefano Stramigioli
Stefano Stramigioli received the M.Sc. with honors (cum laude) in 1992 and the Ph.D with honors (cum laude) in 1998. Between the two degrees he worked as a researcher at the University of Twente, began his enterprise with which he generated two patents and received the Dutch Institute of System and Control certificate. Since 1998 he has been faculty member and he is currently full professor of Advanced Robotics and chair holder of the Control Engineering group at the University of Twente. He is an officer and Senior Member of IEEE. He has about 170 publications including 4 books, book chapters, journal and conference contributions.

Michiel Heldeweg
Michiel Heldeweg is professor of Law, Governance & Technology at University of Twente. His research is on safeguarding the public interest in the context of the (new) regulatory state, with special interest in hybrid organizations and hybrid regulatory strategies. and a focus on legal aspects of public governance, especially in the delivery of public services (and safeguarding of public values), and legal aspects of public regulation, especially in balancing innovation and risk control (especially innovation enhancement & risk regulation).

Yves Mortier
Yves Morier is the principal Advisor principal Advisor to the Flight Standards Director at EASA. He has a vast experinece in the rulemaking field and is momentarly contributing to the development of the RPAS rules and policies as well as the General Aviation roadmap.

Volker Ziegler
Volker Ziegler serves as Head of 5G Leadership and Chief Architect of Nokia Mobile Networks. He leads and orchestrates the 5G era Nokia Mobile Networks technology, innovation andarchitecture; drives roadmap alignment for 5G differentiation and growth across NokiaMobile Networks and other business groups in close cooperation with e2e Mobile Networkssales; he assures landing zone for Bell Labs innovation and; maximizes 5G impact withcustomers, partners and SDOs.He has previously led Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) strategy and business portfolio and, theglobal business development, sales and operations strategy and transformation of NSN.

Matthijs van Miltenburg
Matthijs van Miltenburg is Member of the European Parliament on behalf of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) and D66. Van Miltenburg is member of the parliamentary committees on Transport (TRAN), Regional Development (REGI) and Internal Market (IMCO).
He was the ALDE shadow rapporteur on the Parliament's own initiative report of 2015 on the on safe use of drones in the field of civil aviation. Currently he is the liberal spokesperson on the revision of the basic regulation of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in which negotiations are ongoing on a European framework for the civil use of drones.

Nico Nijenhuis
Nico Nijenhuis, co-founder and CEO of Clear Flight Solutions. Clear Flight Solutions engages in the development and implementation of remotely piloted robotic birds for bird-related problems. It provides Falcon, which is used to chase off birds up to 3kg; and Eagle to chase away various types of birds. The company serves airport, waste management, and agriculture applications.

Joshua Salsby
Joshua Salsby is in charge of aviation and communication in the Cabinet of Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc. He previously worked in the Commission’ Spokesperson’s Service.

Matthew Baldwin
Matthew Baldwin is Deputy Director-General in Europan Commision’s department for Mobility and Transport. Previously, he was the director for Air Aviation and International Transport Policy in DG MOVE.

Onno van Veldhuizen
Onno van Veldhuizen is the mayor of Enschede, one of the founding parties of Space53, the cluster for unmanned systems.
